St. Alphonsus Community Services (SACS) provides a range of services to those in need within our community. No religious affiliation is required to receive aid.
St. Alphonsus Community Services (SACS) is a ministry of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church dedicated to putting our faith into action by helping individuals and families in our community who are experiencing difficult times. SACS provides assistance with basic needs such as food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, helping our neighbors maintain dignity and hope during times of need. Assistance is given to folks of all faith denominations.
Any resident of Cumberland County who is in need – and has a photo ID (or driver's license) – may apply for financial assistance. After verification, rent and electricity, gas and water bills are paid directly to landlords or utility companies (no more than once every six months). Residents may also receive food from the food pantry once every eight weeks.Additional Community Resources for Those in Need
Donations and Volunteers Needed
SACS is always in need of your generous support. Please place non perishable food items in the SACS barrel that is located in the church Narthex. SACS is especially in need of toiletry items such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and toothbrushes. Thank you, in advance, for all your support!
SACS is looking for volunteers! No special experience is required—just a compassionate heart and a willingness to serve.
Volunteers can help in three ways:
Volunteer hours are Monday–Thursday, 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
This is an opportunity to live out Christ’s call to serve others. As Jesus reminds us, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” — Matthew 25:40
Come share your time, your talents, and your compassion. Together, we can help our neighbors experience the love of Christ in a very tangible way. Thank you!
