Bishop Beckman invites young adults (18-35) to explore the mystery of Catholicism on selected Tuesday evenings, starting Sept. 9, at the Diocese of Knoxville Chancery. The Catholic Church mourns the terrible suffering of Christians and other innocent victims of violence in Gaza and surrounding areas who are struggling to survive, protect their children, and live with dignity in dire conditions. Given these humanitarian needs, Bishop Mark Beckman asks that all parishes to take up a second collection on the weekend of Aug. 30-31 to assist the Catholic Near East Welfare Association (CNEWA) who is providing vital emergency humanitarian relief and medical and psychological care for the sick, malnourished, and wounded. Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is working through local Church partners to help provide food, shelter, cash assistance, hygiene supplies, and care.

The Picture of Love marriage preparation program for engaged couples explores the joys and challenges of living out the sacrament of matrimony with special focus on the importance of inviting Jesus to be the center of marriage and family life. The program will help the couple gain insights into their relationship, as well as give them practical ideas and tools to help smooth their journey and become the “Picture of Love” to one another.

This mobile clinic, a "quiet miracle," provides free pregnancy testing, limited ultrasounds, STI testing, prenatal vitamins, and compassionate counseling to women in underserved areas of East Tennessee. It aims to create a supportive, judgment-free environment, helping women make informed decisions by offering services like viewing their baby’s heartbeat. Led by Sandi Davidson and supported by the Knights of Columbus, the clinic travels to rural communities and parishes but faces challenges in raising awareness. The article calls for community support through prayers, volunteering, and spreading the word, emphasizing the clinic’s role as a life-affirming ministry.
